Business Frameworks

Four finished manuscripts with 134 compact frameworks, from an MBA and nearly two decades of work.

Most management advice arrives as a long book with one big idea, and a busy manager rarely has the time to turn that idea into practice. What helps at work is smaller: a tool you can try in a meeting, then adjust.

The difficulty is that frameworks are easy to collect and hard to use. Many are written for a case study rather than for an ordinary working week, and few say what to do when the first attempt does not work.

I have written four complete book manuscripts that are built for this kind of use. Together they hold 134 compact frameworks: fifty for decisions, twenty-five for communication, twenty for productivity and thirty-nine for habits. Each framework is written to be tried in a short time and adjusted one part at a time, thus turning a method into something a team can repeat.

The practical side comes from my MBA at the University of Bolton, which taught me to test theory against real work, and from nearly two decades of work in five fields, from retail and e-commerce to industrial and energy. The frameworks are the parts of that work which held up more than once.

Each book page shows what its frameworks look like, so a reader can judge the method before reading further.
